Failed an Inland Empire check talking to a corpse and somehow that failure taught me more about my character than any success would have. This game is mean about letting you be stupid and I respect it. Kim Kitsuragi is the best partner character in any rpg and it's not close. He doesn't save you from yourself but he keeps the book open long enough for you to write something down. I kept picking the Communist dialogue options not because I meant them but because the game let me be embarrassing about it and that felt more honest than any morality meter. Docked half a star because the whiteboard for tracking case info is not great and I lost the plot around the tribunal on my first run. Still thinking about the pale.

This is the dumbest yet funnest game and most addictive game I've played since terraria. Its nothing special, but just dumb fun.

After seeing gamegrumps playing this, I gave it a go and it was way more fun than I expected. The game is nicely polished and gives you that metroid vibes from the art style and retro

Most don't do much first year, but unfortunately I like to make my own anxiety, and after spending hours on wiki, and micromanaging every single hour and resource, this game is great for ocd and adhd people too
