the ending(s) still hold up

Frog's theme is the one I keep coming back to. The game is paced so tight that even the parts where you're just running errands in 600 AD feel like they matter. Magus rules. Lavos is a great villain mostly because the game never tries too hard to explain him, he's just there waiting at the end of every road you take. Replayed it last month expecting it to feel its age and it didn't really. Combat is light but I think that's a feature, you spend more time in the world than fighting and the world is the point

the ending(s) hold up

Replayed it on a whim and Frog's theme still wrecks me every time it kicks in. Combat is simple to the point of being a little too easy honestly, I never really had to think about tech combos, but the pacing is so tight I didn't care. 30 hours, no filler, every area looks like someone actually drew it. They don't make em like this anymore, etc etc
