Other entries are better in certain areas.
While I think games like GT2, GT4, GT6, had some things that were clearly better, like starting off with way more cars and tracks and overall content. GT7 still gets a bunch of free updates even now. The physics, visuals, and sound design are for sure the best in not only the GT series but possibly in all racing games, be it arcade or sim. Credit earning could be better, as it's a chore to get the credits you need to buy certain cars and content but if you work it the smart way, it's very rewarding
